Sophia, Izzy and Sophie - Achieved September 2023

Starting training with Shotokan Tora in the year of 2009 Ed is one of our longest members of the club. Ed was awarded his shodan in 2019 by Sensei Simon Bligh under HDKI GB. This made Ed the first Shotokan Tora Gloucestershire Student to achieve their Shodan.

Sophia, Izzy and Sophie - Achieved September 2023

Sophia, Izzy and Sophie all took on their shodan grading at the club's 15th-anniversary grading. All three were awarded their shodans in 2023 by Sensei Simon Bligh & Sensei Paul Uren under HDKI GB. This made all three the first female Shotokan Tora Gloucetserhsire students to achieve their shodan and Sophie the youngest female shodan at the age of 11.

Josh achieved his shodan in 2021 after training consistently for years, even more impressively throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Josh was awarded his shodan in 2021 by Sensei Scott Langley under HDKI. This made Josh the youngest SHotokan Tora Gloucester Student to achieve their shodan at the age of 11.
